Marysia of Warsaw POLAND

20. Featured Traveller

Marysia
Traveller

(Warsaw, Poland)

Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living” ~ Maria Bean

I am glad to feature Marysia who has been travelling most of her life. Literally, she has travelled the world and more often than not, she is out of town discovering the countries that comes to her mind.  She has explored Austria, Belgium, Benin, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Laos, Lebanon, Luxumbourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Vatican City.  She reveals that she will continue her journey to the rest of the world without much planning.

When asked about her favourite country and city of destination, she hesitated at first but eventually revealed that it was Spain and Tel-Aviv.
Marysia believes that using public transport always adds an extra flavour and spice ..... like travelling the steeps of Kazakhstan in marshrutka or taking zemidian in Cotonou, Benin. "I never stick to a travel plan. The best stories and experiences cannot be planned," she confesses.

Marysia loves to travel on her own although she thinks that travelling with friends and loved ones can be a great experience. She gets satisfaction by travelling solo. She wants to prove that she can make it by herself to Africa, South America or Asia.  A single lady who loves to wear fancy dresses and fashionable handbags while on a stretch of 800-kilometre road to Pendjari National Park to visit her beloved elephants. She's lucky to not have an accident on the road with holes bigger than herself, or sneak into Taj Mahal during prayers when it is closed for tourists.  There are many other stories that Marysia can tell you about so she blogs about the details of her journey in her own website.  She carefully writes short but detailed information on her world destinations. I will provide her contact addresses including her website to further connect with her.

My Travel Affairs Blog

Who is Marysia? Is she a jet setter?
Yes, she is a total one, only from the beginning of this year, she managed to be in Jordan, Benin, Malta, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Israel, Turkey, Czech Republic, France (3 times), Italy (twice), Spain (4 times) and  Germany (twice).

Is she a real traveller?
She likes to think she is ..... she loves real adventure, like going this year to Benin, Africa  or to Jordan, and Middle East on her own.

Is she a nomad?
Kind of, yes. She has been living abroad and once she goes for a holiday, say, to Spain for two weeks, she doesn't return home for 7 months. This possibility happens as she loves to explore more.

What kind of blogger is she?
She admits that she is new to it and that she struggles with time, backlog posts are her biggest nightmares and another thing is not writing in her mother tongue…ha ha ha. But she loves it to pieces, she has always been a terrible chatter box and this gives her an opportunity to indulge in story telling even more and to bigger audience, and who doesn’t love to be listened to…lol.

What does she love?
She loves to travel, modern art, photography, fancy high heels, great conversation and good wine. She loves her friends and family, story telling and countryside weekends. She is a devoted bookworm addicted to sushi, a crazy scuba diver and she claims there is nothing better than a good gin and tonic on a lazy late afternoon.

What doesn’t she loves?
Ignorance, intolerance. lack of ambition and drive. She can’t stand bad sense of humour,  Middle Age art,  rude people and superficiality.

Why does she love travelling?
Because it is a pure freedom, it is extremely liberating, mind and eyes opening, teaches you not only about historical and cultural, religious heritage but as well about other people and their mentality but most important about yourself. Travel helps to find your true self so lost in today’s hectic world.
