The capital of Ontario, Toronto is on the north-western shore of Lake Ontario; 352 kilometres west of Ottawa and 504 kilometres west of Montreal. 

Toronto's weather average winter temperatures range between 0 and -10C, with snow between December and March. Summer, or 'patio season', as we Torontonians call it, usually around 20 to 30C.

There are recent changes for visa-exempt visitors who are entering Canada that you should know about. An eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is now required for those who fly to or transit through Canada. 

Exceptions to the above are US citizens, travellers with a valid Canadian visa , Canadian including dual citizens and Canadian permanent residents.

No matter what time of the year you decide to visit Canada, you will be treated to a dramatic display of colour, changing landscapes and vibrant life. For the current year, 2017, expect the 4 seasons to be at its best.

Spring - From March 20 to June 20. Flowers and plants start to bloom. Tulips Festival in Ottawa is one of the colourful events in Canada. This year, the festival will be from May 12 to 22, 2017.

Summer - From June 21 to September 21Across Canada bring warm to hot weather. It's the best time to camp, fish and get lost in the wild.

Autumn - From September 22 to December 20Fall brings cool and pleasant temperatures in September and October. It is the best time to observe falling maple leaves and is quite lovely!

Winter - From December 21 to March 19The best time to ski is from December until late March. Experience the most awaited Winter Festivals from Winterlude in Ottawa from February 3 to 20 to Winter Carnival in Quebec from January 27 to February 12!

    1. There is so much to discover here in Canada and Toronto in particular. The neighbouring towns and cities add to its appeal that made it beautiful and most livable city. I cannot describe it enough. Come, see for yourself. Thank you Zara for your views.
