What to Expect in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve

Written by: Freddie Miranda

Are you looking for an escape from a laid-back environment in the New Year? And you want to party all night until the clock strikes at 12 midnight?

If your answer is yes, then, Las Vegas New Year's Eve celebration can provide you with a world-class venue that are known to delight visitors. That means, a celebration for you and your kids.

Three nights to a week is enough to fully enjoy this vibrant city, in the middle of the desert. You will enjoy the festive season, the casinos and your most favourite entertainment shows on the Strip.

Las Vegas continues to be a place for casinos, but it doesn't mean that it is exclusively for nightlife entertainment. It is no longer an adults-only playground, so you do not leave your kids behind. Las Vegas is rapidly becoming a kid-friendly destination suitable for all ages.

Worried about how to entertain your kids in Las Vegas?  Worry no more!

There is an All-Day Game Pass at GameWorks which is located in Town Square on the strip. Each all-day pass is for a single user unlimited access to interactive games valid from your first swipe until the arcade closes on that day.

Your children are bound to be delighted by the city’s many roller coaster rides. Las Vegas is believed to be one of the world’s top rollercoaster destinations, which has the biggest, fastest and most exciting rides.

The most thrilling roller coasters in Las Vegas include X-Scream located at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. The city also offers several other thrilling rides at the indoor Canyon Blaster at the Circus Circus Adventure dome, and The Roller Coaster (formerly Manhattan Express) at the New York , New York Hotel and Casino.

This will be an unforgettable new year experience for your kids at least for once!
And there is more...

Conservatory and Habitat Garden with a natural display of exotic plants fill this fragrant garden. See the show of the inspiring Fountains of Bellagio, the M & M's World and the Discovery Children's museum.

Venetian canals and waterways feature gondolas that offer rides to guests. A relaxing and romantic ride down the Grand Canal, you feel the charm and excitement of the real Venice. Purchase tickets at the Venetian in the Grand Canal Shoppes. For your convenience, see everything they have planned for New Year's Eve 2016-2017.

Bellagio also features displays of dancing fountains that are set to music and feature rushing water that soars that high. The one attraction that you don't want to miss is the Fiori Di Como, a chandelier that adorns the hotel lobby in colourful splendour. The lobby is open for 24 hours, so you have plenty of time.

Fremont Street Experience. This is another venue to celebrate the New Year's Eve. The pedestrian mall will be closed to the public at 5:00 p.m. on December 31st and the live concert starts from 5:30 p.m. up until 3:30 a.m. Entrance tickets is $40 plus fees. Buy it online, in person at the Fremont Street Experience member hotel-casinos and at the event gates. This is an adult only event and you should be 21 years old to attend.

Las Vegas is served by McCarran International Airport that is located one mile to the south of the Las Vegas Strip. I stayed in a hotel beside the airport, a convenient place because the Las Vegas airport is connected to the strip and downtown by various buses and airport taxi services. The Best Western Hotel is barely 10-minute walk from the airport.

Public transport within Las Vegas is provided by public buses, private trolley services, taxicabs, monorail links and free shuttle services, which are provided by many of the casinos. Another popular mode of transport in Las Vegas is limousine hire and the city is equipped with many affordable limousine hire agencies which offer chauffeur-driven-vehicles.

The New Year's Eve in Las Vegas is just like any other nights. The only difference are the fireworks that will be shot from casino rooftops on the Strip and the many happy faces coming from all over the world. It is more like a street festival. The Strip is closed to traffic at 6:00 p.m. in preparation to the American Party.

There you have it fellow travellers.  It's holiday season and almost the end of the year. You still have time to pack your bags and enjoy the lively surroundings of Las Vegas.

You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime experience, do you?
